Damascus, SANA – Activities of the Jordanian Exhibition for Trade and Services, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, in cooperation with the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, kicked off on Tuesday.
More than 60 specialized Jordanian companies are participating in the exhibition, which is held on Damascus Fair Grounds .
In a press conference following the opening ceremony, Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Muhammad Samer al-Khalil, said that the exhibition is the first of its kind which is considered as an important window for meeting among businessmen in the two countries, communicating with the private sector in Syria and public authorities in some sectors and a destination for displaying Jordanian services and products that may find an Investment opportunity in Syria during the coming period.
“We came to search for a real partnership with Syrian companies, and not just for exchanging goods, whether on the territory of Jordan or Syria… the exhibition aims to serve the two peoples, and transfer the products of this partnership to the Arab world and to countries of the whole world,” chairman of Jordan’s Chamber of Commerce, Nael al-Kabariti, said.
