Syrian-Indonesian talks to strengthen investment and trade exchange

Jakarta, SANA-Chargé d’Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Indonesia, Abdul Moneim Annan, and Director for Bilateral Negotiations at Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Ni Made Ayu Marthini, discussed on Friday, via video, aspects of boosting the investment and trade exchange between the two countries.

“The aim of the meeting is to discuss the opportunities and means of increasing the investment and trade exchanges between the two countries and look forward to framing them within agreement and establishing mutual cooperation mechanism” Annan said.

For her part, Marthini proposed a proposal to form a business working group to talk about opportunities, challenges and possibilities of cooperation with the government companies and private sector by inviting the Indonesian and Syrian chambers of commerce to participate in it and to ink primarily an understanding memo between the two countries in order to increase and develop trade exchange.
