UN reaffirms that Israeli occupation measures in Syrian Golan are null and void

New York, SANA- The United Nations General Assembly adopted on Friday a resolution that affirms all measures taken or to be taken by the Israeli occupation entity in order to change the legal status of the Syrian Golan are null, void and form a flagrant violation of international law.

149 states voted in favour of the resolution dubbed “The occupied Syrian Golan,” while the occupation entity and the United States rejected and 23 countries abstained.

The resolution calls on Israel, the occupying power, to implement resolutions on the occupied Syrian Golan, particulary Security Council Resolution No. 497 of 198 Which stresses that Israel’s decision to impose its laws on the occupied Syrian Golan is null and void and has no legal effect, and calls on Israel, the occupying power to cancel its decision immediately and stop changing the legal status and demographic structure of the occupied Syrian Golan.
