Riyadh, SANA-The Syrian U-17 national football team qualified on Thursday for the semi-finals of the West Asian Confederation Championship, held in Saudi Arabia, at the groups’ final round.
The Syrian team obtained the best second place in the three groups with 3 points, coming after the UAE team that led the group with 6 points, and Palestine came third without any point.
It joined Saudi Arabia, UAE and Yemen teams in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The Syrian team lost to UAE 1-4, but it beat Palestine 6-0.
