Syria detects 90 new COVID-19 cases, 5 fatalities

Damascus, SANA- Syria registered 90 new coronavirus cases, 112 recoveries and 5 fatalities on Monday, Health Ministry said.

The total number of infections detected in the country has reached up to 48,709 of which 29,850 have recovered, while 2,782 have passed away, according to a statement by the Ministry.

On March 22nd, the first coronavirus was recorded in Syria in a person who came from abroad, while the first death was reported one week later.
