119 new coronavirus cases, 5 deaths recorded in Syria

Damascus, SANA- 119 new coronavirus infections, 90 recoveries and 5 fatalities were reported in Syria on Monday, according to the Health Ministry.

A statement issued by the ministry showed that the total number of the coronavirus cases recorded in Syria has reached up to 47,331, while the recoveries have amounted to 28,424, and 27,09 deaths have been registered.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22^nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first death was reported a week later.
