Syrian-Pakistani talks to boost parliamentary relations

Damascus, SANA-Syrian-Pakistani Parliamentary Friendship Committee at People’s Assembly discussed on Thursday with Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Damascus, Saeed Muhammad Khan, means of boosting and developing parliamentary relations between the two countries.

Head of the Committee, Munzir Ibrahim, stressed the importance of the historic and fraternal Syrian-Pakistani relations and the common interests that bind the peoples and the need to enhance economic, educational and medical cooperation and trade exchange between them.

He expressed his appreciation for the stances of Pakistan, as government and people, and its support to Syria at international forums.

For his part, the Pakistani Ambassador affirmed his country’s permanent stance in support of Syria and its people in various fields, particularly in light of the conditions of the unjust economic blockade imposed on the county.
