160 new coronavirus cases, 5 fatalities reported in Syria

Damascus, SANA- 160 new coronavirus cases, 90 recoveries and 5 fatalities were recorded in Syria on Friday,  the Health Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry added the total number of coronavirus cases detected in Syria has climbed to 45,980, while the recoveries have amounted to 27,488, and the reported fatalities have reached up to 2,655.

The first infection was detected in Syria on March 22nd, 2020 in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality  was reported on 29^th of the same month.
