Damascus, SANA- Three Syrian teachers won the Global Teaching Award 2021 which is granted annually by Alert Knowledge Services (AKS) organization to recognize exceptional teachers who have made an outstanding contribution to their profession to build a better society through inspirational teaching.
Teachers Fadya Ali , Anas Abu Saada, and Moumen al-Hatoum from Syria, along with 97 teachers from 110 countries won the award , according to the results to be officially announced by the organization today.
Speaking to SANA reporter, the teacher Fadya Ali said that she has participated in the award since the second semester of the last school year and she received the result on September 1st.
“I’m very happy and proud to win with my colleagues the award, in which over 22.000 teachers around the world nominated themselves for the Global award to register the name of their country in a new achievement,” she said.
The stages of registration for the award include filling in a form on the competitor’s personal and professional data, answering various questions, submitting a curriculum, links to model lessons and educational content designed by each teacher for their students; These data will be examined by specialized committees to select the 100 best teachers in the world from among participants from more than 110 foreign and Arab countries, including Syria, Palestine, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Russia, Japan, China, Germany, Italy , Spain and others as explained by the teacher al-Hatoum.
The Syrian teacher Nagham Ali won the Award 2020 as she shared social media videos showing her distinguished style of education through drawing, singing, and music skills to increase student interaction.
