Deir Ezzor, SANA- Al-Mayadin city, located in the central part of Deir Ezzor province, has restored its basic services as its locals returned back to their homes and villages after the Syrian Arab Army has liberated it from terrorism by the end of 2017.
Head of the council of the al-Mayadin city, Thaer al-Ali told SANA reporter in statements that most of the locals have returned to their homes and works as the number of the returnees has reached now more than 60 thousand people, asserting that all necessary services were provided to them.
Al-Ali added that the electricity was provided by the end of 2018, where it is fed by al-Mayadin power station with a capacity of 20 mF. He stressed that two bakeries and four private bakeries produce about 20 tons of bread per a day in the city.
Al-Ali pointed out that the second health center in the al-Mayadin city, which was put into service, and al-Tayba Health Center, in addition to a number of mobile clinics, provide health and vaccination services to the citizens.
Work in civil affairs, the court, the Financial Department, and the Agricultural bank have been resumed, according to al-Ali.
Head of the Water Department in the city, Mohammad Jazza’a said that there are 18 drinking water units with a total capacity of 3370 cubic meters/ hour in the city and the villages and towns affiliated with it.
For his part, the head of the educational gathering in al-Mayadin Erak al-Ahmad pointed out that the educational process runs smoothly and well in the schools affiliated with the gathering.
Al-Ahmad added that the number of schools that were put into services last year reached 61 in different educational stages, while the total number of students reached 22 thousand.
Head of al-Mayadin Agricultural Department Faysal Hammad said that the government has ensured all requirements of the agricultural production, including seeds, fertilizers, and water for irrigation, and rehabilitated the irrigation projects in Saloa, al-Zubari, Buqras Fawqani, and Buqras Tahtani, al-Baloum, al-Tayba, and Mahkan.
A number of locals appreciated the exerted governmental efforts to provide the basic services for them, activating the service institutions, asserting that their city has restored its liberty thanks to the sacrifices of the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army.
