Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry announced on Sunday that 16 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria, adding that 8 coronavirus cases recovered, and one passed away.
In a statement, the Ministry said that the total number of the coronavirus cases recorded in Syria has reached 26,097 till now, of which 22,051 have recovered, and 1,920 others have passed away.
The first coronavirus case was recorded in Syria on March 22nd in a person who came from abroad, while the first death was registered on the 29th of the same month.
