Health Ministry: 20 new coronavirus cases recorded, 8 cases recover, 2 pass away

Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry announced on Tuesday that 20 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria, adding that 8 other cases recovered, and two passed away.

In a statement, the Ministry noted that the total number of the coronavirus cases recorded in Syria has reached up to 26,136, of which 22,068 have recovered, while 1,924 have passed away.

The first coronavirus case was reported in Syria on March 22^nd in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality was registered on the 29^th of the same month.
