Syria participates in 2021 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Russia

Damascus, SANA- With the participation of the Syrian Science Olympiad teams of Mathematics, competitions of 2021 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) on Monday kicked off in Russia virtually.

The Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement to SANA that the Syrian team, consisting of 6 members, is participating in the contest which conduct in one exam center at the headquarters of Damascus-based Agency for two days.

The exams are conducted in two rounds, each lasting 4 hours 30 minutes, including 3 issues in a branch of mathematics of Combinatorial mathematics , Algebra and Geometry as 7 marks are allocated for each question, and the final result is calculated by the sum of the marks of the round exams.
