New York, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad affirmed that paralysis of the UN Security Council which comes as a result of US policy which prevents it from maintaining international peace and security encourages the Israeli occupation to continue its aggression and crimes against the Palestinians.
Mikdad, in a speech to the UN General Assembly meeting on Thursday about the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, delivered by Bassam Sabbagh, Syria’s permanent representative to UN, Mikdad pointed out that the barbaric Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip and its continuous attacks on the cities and towns of the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, is a chain in a series of acts of aggression that the occupation entity has been carrying out in the Arab region, including its repeated attacks on Syria and Lebanon and its support for terrorist organizations.
Mikdad reiterated Syria’s support to the Palestinian brotherly people and their right to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
