Damascus, SANA -A civilian was killed Friday by a sniper’s gunfire on Harasta highway in Damascus Countryside.
According to a Police Command source, a terrorist sniper opened fire on a truck that was passing by the Police Hospital on the highway, hitting a person aboard.
The source told SANA reporter that the person died immediately.
In the same context, a mortar shell fired by terrorists hit al-Abassiyeen residential area in Damascus city, leaving four civilians injured.
The shell landed in Fares al-Khouri Street in al-Abassiyeen area, according to the Police Command, which noted that the injured included two girls – 1 and 3 years of age – a women and a man.
The shell also caused material damage to a number of cars.
Earlier, terrorist organizations targeted al-Zahira al-Jadida neighborhood in Damascus city with a mortar shell.
The shell fell on the roof of a residential building near al-Zahira Bakery in the neighborhood, damaging the building without hurting anyone.
