Health cadres in Qamishli take part in “No-Sugar Week Challenge” campaign

Hasaka, SANA- Health cadres at Qamishli National Hospital, including doctors and nurses, participated in the sports race that was organized in the framework of “No-Sugar Week Challenge” campaign launched by Ministry of Health.

In a statement to SANA, Director of the Hospital, Omar al-Akoub, stated that workers in the hospital, through their participation in the race, wanted to address a message of awareness to prevent people from having diabetes and to show the importance of exercises on a daily basis, and the importance of reducing as much as possible of the substances that contain sugar to keep the body healthy.

Within the activities of the campaign, the Health department in Hasaka will hold a number of lectures and seminars on diabetes at the health centers in the Province.
