Temperatures below average, snow expected over mountains

Damascus, SANA – Temperatures will remain from 5 to 8 below average degrees as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by a cold and wet air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that that the weather will be partly cloudy in general with a chance for rainfalls over separate regions across the country, while snow will fall over the mountains whose altitude exceeds 1,000 meter and below.

The wind will be westerly with a moderate speed and active gusts, while the sea waves will be medium in height.

The expected temperatures in some cities will be as follows: Damascus 7/2, Homs 6/3, Aleppo 7/1, Lattakia 11/7, Sweida 4/1, Hama 7/5 and Raqqa 8/2.
