Syria wins two silver medals at opening of Fazza International Championship

Abu Dhabi, SANA- The Syrian Athletics Team for Special sports won two silver medals at the opening of Fazza International Championship currently held in United Arab Emirates, the final qualifying stage for Paralympic Tokyo.

Athlete Mohammad Khalid Mohammad has won the first silver medal in shot-put throwing competition, and Abdul Hakim al-Bakr won the other medal in discus throwing competition when he registered 33,35 meter.

It is noteworthy that the Organizing Committee decided to cancel the crowning ceremonies for the winners, as one of the precautionary measures to address corona pandemic.
