About 600 thousand students take first semester exams at governmental universities for academic year 2020-2021

Damascus, SANA- The first semester exams have started at the governmental universities for the academic year 2020-2021 and they will last for about one month.

About 600 thousand male and female university students are taking their first semester exams, according to the Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry.

In a statement, the Ministry indicated that it instructed all universities to ensure all requirements of the exams process and to adopt all needed measures to make the process a success, in addition to firmly implement the measures of confronting the coronavirus and commit to the health instructions, including wearing the masks and sterilization.

Deputy Chairman of Damascus University for administrational Affairs Subhi al-Bahri told SANA in a statement that more than 150 thousand male and female students are taking their exams at Damascus University and its branches in Daraa, Quneitra and Sweida.

Dean of Faculty of Economics in Damascus University Dr. Ammar Naser Agha said that some 11 thousand female and male students are taking their exams in the faculty, noting that all necessary measure to make the exams a success have been adopted along with adhering to the needed healthy measures.

For his part, Dean of Literature and Human Sciences Faculty in Damascus University Dr. Osama Qaddour said that more than 70 thousand male and female students are taking their exams at the university.
