Worldwide coronavirus death toll passes two million and 48 thousand

Capitals, SANA- According to the Worldometers Website, the novel coronavirus has claimed lives of more than two million and 48 thousand people since its appearance in December 2019.

The website added that the total number of the global coronavirus infections has reached up to 95,960,820, and the number of fatalities has amounted to 2,048,081, while the recoveries have climbed to 68,506,200.

The US still tops the worst-affected countries by the virus in terms of the number of infections and fatalities after recording 408,469 deaths out of 24,608,828 infections, while India comes second after registering 152,593 deaths, out of 10,582,647 infections.

Meanwhile Brazil comes third after reporting 210,299 deaths, out of 8,511,770 infections.
