Pedersen: Members of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution agreed to hold next round on 25th of next month

Geneva, SANA-U.N. Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen announced on Friday that members of the Mini-Committee of Discussing the Constitution agreed on the agenda of the fifth round on January 25th.

Pedersen said, in a press conference following the concluding of the 4th session in Geneva, that members of the Mini-Committee of Discussing the Constitution discussed, over five days, a wide range of topics, adding that there are some aspects of common ground, we hope when we meet again, to build on.

The UN envoy added that “The meetings were useful and I can say that we are looking for points that can use them to move forward “, indicating that the Committee agreed on the next meeting’s agenda which will start on the 25th of next January.

Pederson pointed out that the work of the Committee of Discussing the Constitution is important as it deals with basic issues regarding the situation in Syria, calling on the International Community to help reach political solution to crisis in Syria.
