Firefighting teams of Lattakia exert tireless efforts to extinguish fires set to forests and farm lands in many areas

Lattakia, SANA-Firefighting teams and engines continued on Saturday their tireless efforts to extinguish fires set to forests and farm lands in Lattakia countryside as fires extended to other new areas in the province.

Director of the Forestry Department in Lattakia Agricultural Department, Bassem Douba, told SANA reporter that the number of fires reached at 85 in different sites.

He added that the firemen spare no effort to put off fires and give the priority to prevent fires from reaching the houses of residents.
