Temperatures above average, fog expected over mountains

Damascus, SANA-Temperatures tend to rise to become from 3 to 5 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure coming from the southeast and accompanied by northwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the weather will be relatively hot and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general, while the weather will be misty in al-Badia “semi-desert” and eastern regions.

While at night, the weather will be cold, and fog is expected over the mountains and some inland areas.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 17/33, Daraa19/29, Homs21/33, Hasaka20/34and Tartous22/32.
