Qasad militia expels workers of al-Himmeh water plant, west of Hasaka city

Hasaka, SANA- The US-backed Qasad (SDF)militia has prevented the workers of al-Himmeh water plant to the northwest of Hasaka city from entering into the plant for the fourth consecutive day.

A source at the Water Establishment said that Qasad militia on Tuesday morning expelled workers of the plant under the pretext of security alert by the militia in the region, and other flimsy pretenses aimed at expelling the workers from the plant and controlling it completely in a way which will directly affect the process of pumping water into the neighborhoods of Hasaka city and its surrounding, and will bring back the tragedy of drinking water shortage.

The source indicated that Qasad militia deliberately commits violations against the locals through seizing buildings and service facilities headquarters, noting that their presence within the plant will negatively reflect on the status of the plant from the technical side and the quantities of the pumped water.

Alouk plant to the east of Ras al-Ayn has been witnessing a stability in the work, and the process of pumping water towards al-Himmeh plant has been normal as the maintenance workers are currently repairing the rest of the wells in order to put them into service soonest possible.
