Hasaka, SANA- Nafasha Water Project of Haska Water Company in Hasaka province ensures water for locals of the eastern countryside of Hasaka city through a network supplying water to 34 villages.
Nafasha water project has a major role in securing part of people’s needs of Ras al-Ayn city by providing them water through tankers of Hasaka Water Company or humanitarian organizations and even the private sector in light of criminal and inhuman practices of Turkish occupation forces and their terrorist mercenaries as they deliberately cut off water coming from Alouk water station in Ras Al-Ayn countryside towards Hasaka.
Head of Nafasha Water Project Adnan Muhammad said that the project supplies water to about 11 thousand people in Hasaka during the periods of water outages or its delaying pumping from Alouk station due to Turkish occupation’s parctices.
It is noteworthy that the percentage of groundwater suitable for drinking in the vicinity of Hasaka city is very low, as the water is characterized by the presence of high levels of sediment, salts and calcareous materials.
