Health Minister: Medical staff are on full alert around the clock

Damascus, SANA – In perfect readiness around the clock, hospitals, health centers, emergency services of the Health Ministry continue to provide their services to citizens during Eid al-Adha holiday, all while committing to preventive measures to confront the Coronavirus pandemic, in addition to receiving suspected Coronavirus cases and offering them treatment.

During an inspection tour of al- Zabadani and Qatana hospitals in Damascus countryside, which are designated for treating Coronavirus patients, Health Minister Nizar Yazigi lauded the efforts of the medical staff in confronting the Coronavirus and treating the patients infected with it according to the official treatment protocol, in addition to offering psychological support to patients.

 In a statement to journalists at al-Zabadani Hospital, Yazigi described medical professionals as a “white army” forming the first line of defense against the Coronavirus pandemic, praising their dedication to preventing the spread of the virus and ensuring the recovery of the largest possible number of patients.

 The Minister also toured Damascus Hospital (al-Moujthed) and Ibn al-Nafis Hospital to inspect their readiness to receive emergency cases, which tend to increase during Eid al-Adha holiday, in addition to receiving patients with all sorts of medical cases.
