Southern Region Chamber of Tourism: Procedures to activate internal tourism

Sweida, SANA- Southern Region Chamber of Tourism has taken a package of procedures and steps to activate the internal and the low-cost tourism.

head of the Southern Region Chamber of Tourism Nabil al-Khatib said in this regard, that the Chamber organized last month a number of trips from Sweida and Daraa to the tourist and archeological destinations in the provinces of Damascus, Damascus Countryside, Lattakia and Tartous.

In a statement to SANA, al-Khatib added that the Chamber recommended to run low-cost trips to the other provinces, among them to Quneitra due to its historical and cultural significance.

He pointed out the importance of restoring the internal plaques of the archaeological sites in this region, rehabilitating their lighting and preparing brochures on them.
