Qasad groups control Safia telecommunication center, north of Hasaka City

Hasaka, SANA- The US occupation-backed Qasad groups on Sunday morning controlled the telecommunication center in Safia village, 13 km north of Hasaka City and stopped its work after forcing the workers to leave it at gun point.

The workers staged a sit-in in front of the center, demanding Qasad members to get out of the building in order to continue to provide services to the locals, particularly as it is one of the important service facilities.

In a statement to SANA reporter in Hasaka, Director of the Syrian Telecommunication Establishment-Hasaka Branch Dr. Jamil Bilal said that members of Qasad on Sunday morning expelled the workers from the telecommunication center at the gun point, and warned them not to return after confiscating the keys of the center.

Bilal noted that after stopping the work at the switchboard by Qasad members, the services of the telephone landlines stopped in the region for about 880 phone subscribers, indicating that the total capacity of the center is about 2000 telephone lines.

Meanwhile, Qasad groups have continued to impose control over the building of the Electricity General Company in Hasaka for the 16 straight day.
