More than 100.000 cherry trees cultivated in Sweida province

Sweida, SANA- With the start of cherry picking season every summer, the farmers in Sweida province harvest their fruit of cherry from their orchards as a feeling of optimism prevails for good season.

Director of Agriculture in Sweida Ayham Hamid said that there are environmental circumstances suitable for planting cherry in Sweida , including cold hours during the winter , cool summer , and the brightness of the sun.

Hamid indicated that the cherry cultivated areas reached at 3300 dunums in Sweida , including 102.000 trees with various varieties of the cherry which are characterized by large size that can be stored , and exported.
