Homs Governor: Continuous coordination with international organizations for relief work

Homs, SANA- Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi asserted on Tuesday that good and continuous coordination is still being carried out with all the humanitarian and relief international organizations operating in Syria and affiliated offices to deliver the aids for affected citizens in all areas.

During a meeting with the Director of the UN office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs in Syria Sebastian Trives, the governor pointed out that this cooperation is carried out in accordance with a plan implemented by the government via the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry and executed by Higher Committee for Relief.

Al-Barazi said that there are 55 centers for temporary residence in the province, which requires increasing the amount of relief and health supplies and making plans to provide some type of physiological support to the people staying in them, particularly to children who had been abducted by armed terrorist organizations.

In turn, Trives mentioned that the UN is exerting every possible effort to reach all the citizens who need aid, especially since winter is coming, asserting that the UN will work to open new work centers to access the areas that present the biggest challenge in terms of relief work.

Earlier, Trives visited and inspected a number of the temporary residence centers in the province and the neighborhoods of Homs old city.
