Zarif: Iran will continue to enhance economic cooperation with Syria

Moscow, SANA- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif affirmed that his country will continue to strengthen its economic cooperation with Syria.

In an interview with Russian Sputnik Agency following his arrival in Moscow on Tuesday, Zarif said” We have strong economic relations with Syria and it has a credit line in Iran…And we will work on developing the economic relations and cooperation between the two countries.”

Regarding the next Astana meeting on settling the crisis in Syria, Zarif said “the meeting will be held at the first possible opportunity.”

On Monday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that a meeting for the three guarantor states of Astana process on the settlement of the crisis in Syria will be held soon through the technique of the videoconference, indicating that its date will be set during Zarif’s visit to Ankara and Moscow.
