New York, SANA- Iran’s Permanent Representative to the UN Majid Takht-Ravanchi has reaffirmed his country’s stance which calls for the withdrawal of all the illegitimate foreign troops from the Syrian territories.
The Iranian IRNA News Agency quoted Takht-Ravanchi during a virtual meeting for the International Security Council on the situation in Syria on Wednesday as saying that “Syria’s sovereignty, political independence and territorial integrity should be preserved, and accordingly, all foreign forces whose presences are not permitted by the Syrian Government must leave the Syrian territory.”
He indicated that the U.S. forces support the terrorist organizations under the mask of combatting terrorism.
Takht-Ravanchi reiterated his country’s stance which calls for finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria, indicating that the Syrian people exclusively can decide the future of their country and that the international community should provide support to the Syrians for achieving that.
He asserted that the repeated Israeli acts of aggression against Syria are a blatant violation of the international laws and the UN Charter, underlining the necessity of stopping them.
He also indicated that the Israeli entity’s occupation of the Syrian Golan is illegal and thereby the U.S. declaration on it is null and void.
