Al-Zabadani Hospital designated as medical isolation center

Damascus Countryside, SANA_ The Health Ministry has designated al-Zabadani Hospital in Damascus Countryside as a medical isolation center in case any novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases are confirmed in Syria.

This new move comes within the framework of the government’s procedures to confront Coronavirus.

Minister of Health Nizar Yazigi toured the hospital to inspect the preparations and the available equipment making sure that this place is a suitable medical isolation center.

He clarified that the center is a well-sterilized medical place where best qualified medical staff work.

Director of Damascus Health Directorate Yasin Na’nous said that al-Zabadani Hospital contains 100 beds and an 8-bed intensive care room and four ventilators, adding that work is underway to prepare four more ventilators.

The crew of the hospital consists of 220 doctors and technicians who are trained enough to deal with such epidemic diseases.
