Damascus, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday issued the law No. 2 for the year 2020 which stipulates for canceling article No. 548 of the Penal Code which was issued according to the legislative decree No. 148 for the year 1949 and its amendments and the legal texts which replaced them and which are related to granting mitigating excuse for “honor crimes”.
