Syria, Cuba discuss means to enhance media cooperation

Havana, SANA- President of Prensa Latina News Agency of Cuba Luis Enrique González underlined the importance of enhancing media cooperation between Syria and Cuba in light of the fierce media campaign launched against the two countries.

Meeting Syria’s Ambassador to Cuba Dr. Idris Mayya at the headquarters of the Agency in Havana on Monday, González noted that conveying the reality of events in Syria and what it faces of attacks launched by terrorist organizations is a priority for the Cuban Agency which will continue to defend Syria’s just issue.

In this context, he hailed the high-level cooperation between Prensa Latina and the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

Ambassador Mayya, for his part, lauded the role played by Prensa Latina Agency in conveying the reality of the events in Syria to the public opinion in Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Mayya affirmed that the media war waged against Syria and Cuba by major media outlets entails intensifying efforts and enhancing cooperation between media outlets in both countries to stand in the face of what they are exposed to.
