Kremlin : Russia is committed to its obligations under Sochi agreement

Moscow, SANA- Russia reiterated commitment to its obligations under Sochi agreement regarding de-escalation zone in Idleb, rejecting allegations by Turkish Regime President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan in this regard.

“Russia fully co mplies with all of its obligations under Sochi agreements regarding Idleb zone. At the same time, we regret that the situation there still leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, this area continues to see the concentration of a large number of terrorists who constantly carry out offensives and aggressive actions against the armed forces of the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as the Russian base in Hmeimim. This is a source of deep concern,” said , Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov to journalists in a statement on Friday.

On Thursday, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova affirmed Russia’s commitment to settling the crisis in Syria in the framework of Astana talks and Sochi Agreement.
