Baghdad, SANA_ Iraqi President Barham Saleh affirmed that “Iraq will not be a launching pad for aggression on any of the neighboring countries.
Al-Sumaria News website quoted the Iraqi Presidency office as saying in a statement on Saturday that Saleh, during his meeting with Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi in Baghdad, said that wars and armed conflicts which deplete countries’ human and material potentials must never be allowed to occur.
He emphasized the need for having recourse to the language of a positive and open dialogue for dealing with crises.
Saleh said that Iraq seeks to be a cornerstone of peaceful coexistence and to bring all fraternal and friendly states together so as to achieve their common interests and to cement peace and security in the region and the world as well.
