Army foils terrorist attacks on liberated areas in Idleb southeastern countryside

Idleb, SANA- Syrian Arab Army units operating in the liberated countryside of Ma’arat al-Nu’man area on Thursday thwarted an  attack by terrorist groups  on the military points in the towns of al-Tehh and Jirjanaz in southeastern countryside of Idleb.

SANA reporter said that terrorist groups have exploited the bad weather and fog to launch an attack on the military points in the surroundings of the towns of Jirjanaz and al-Tehh where the Syrian army have liberated during the last week. The army units operating in the area confronted them and inflicted heavy losses upon them.

The reporter added that two car bomb, dozens of vehicles, in addition to rocket launchers and cannons, which the terrorist groups have used in their attack, were destroyed.

The army units also carried out artillery and rocket strikes on the terrorist’s supply routes from the direction of Ma’arat al-Nu’man, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists in personnel and equipment.

The reporter later said that the army units observed terrorist groups that were infiltrating from Abu Dafnah and Halban villages along Abu Addohour/Sarakeb axis, inflicting them heavy losses.

The army units continued their military operations in Idleb southeastern countryside and pursued the members of the terrorist organizations as the army managed to clear more than 320 square KM after crushing Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization and other terrorist ones from the area and liberating more than 40 towns and villages in Idleb southern and southeastern countryside.
