Despite of terrorism, economic siege, 16 thousand industrial, craft facilities put into service again in Aleppo

Aleppo, SANA- With accelerated steps, the production cycle at the industrial areas in the liberated neighborhoods of Aleppo has resumed its movement as the rumbling of machines has risen high in defiance of terrorism in all of its forms, including the economic terrorism, and everyone who has tried to harm the national economy and its industrial capital, Aleppo.

The locals in Aleppo have rushed to rehabilitate their facilities which have been damaged at the hands of terrorists in order to resume work and production.

Engineer Majid Suleiman, Member of Aleppo Chamber of Industry, said that the wheel of industry has started to spin again in the industrial areas in the province as the number of the industrial and craft facilities which have been put into service again since the liberation of Aleppo has reached up to 16 thousand facilities out of 35 thousand facilities which used to work before the hostile war waged against Syria.

Suleiman added that most of the rehabilitated facilities are in al-Kallasa, al-Qatirji and al-Arqoub as the number of facilities which are operating in al-Arqoub area hit 1,300 facilities distributed among the textile, engineering, food and chemical industries.

Meanwhile, in al-Kallasa area, the number of the rehabilitated facilities amounted to 1,200 distributed among different industries, taking into consideration that the infrastructure has been rehabilitated, in addition to the maintenance of the water and electricity networks.

In al-Qatirji area, more than 900 industrialists have returned to their jobs and currently there are more than 240 industrialists who are working on rehabilitating their facilities in order to put them into service again.

Suleiman indicated that there are first or second housing areas to which terrorists headed after they were displaced by terrorism and they opened small workshops and started production.

Alleramoun Industrial Zone Aleppo, which used to have more than 2,200 facilities ahead of the war, there are few industrialists because they are located on hotlines of clashes with armed terrorist groups.

SANA’s camera toured a number of the industrial areas which have been put into service again after the liberation of Aleppo including al-Arqoub area.
