Car bomb set to be detonated on Damascus –Daraa international highway dismantled

Darra, SANA- Members of Internal Security Forces, in cooperation with the authorities concerned, on Sunday managed to locate and dismantle a car bomb that was set to be detonated on the Damascus –Daraa international highway between Saida and al-Ghariya al-Gharbiyah towns.

An officer from the Internal Security Forces told SANA reporter that the car bomb contained 21 mines, some of them Israeli-made, which were prepared to detonated remotely, adding that the mines were placed inside barrels which were camouflaged by hay, and that the barrels also contained large amounts of shrapnel and iron pieces with the aim of causing the largest possible number of victims in the event of detonation.
