Damascus, SANA- Temperatures remain around average in the southern region and from 2 to 4 degrees lower than average in the other regions as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be between clear to partly cloudy in general, local rain showers are expected over the coastal and central regions and al-Jazira.
The Department warned against the formation of fog during the early morning. The winds will be changeable of low speed and the sea waves will be low in height.
Rain fell in a number of areas across the country during the past 24 hours, as the heaviest rain amount reached 174mm in Hama and 144mm in Tartous according to the rain bulletin issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform.
The rain amounts reached 142mm in Lattakia, 26mm in Idleb, 16mm in Homs, 22mm in Hasaka and 5mm in Raqqa.
The expected temperature degrees in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus20/10, Daraa 19/11, Homs 15/08, Hasaka 14/08, Lattakia 19/13, Aleppo 18/08, and Deir Ezzor 22/08.
