Havana, SANA- The 37th Edition of Havana International Fair was opened on Tuesday with the participation of the Syrian Arab Republic.
During his visit to the Syrian pavilion at the fair, Cuban Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca underlined the necessity of enhancing economic relations between the two countries and upgrading them to reach the highest possible levels.
Minister Malmierca also called for invigorating contacts between the chambers of commerce, and the Syrian companies and businessmen to discuss the possibilities of cooperation between the two sides in that significant sector.
He expressed appreciation of the Syrian pavilion’s contents which include samples of some products, particularly food products, welcoming Syria’s participation in this important economic event.
Syria’s Ambassador to Cuba, Idris Mayya, for his part, affirmed keenness of the bodies concerned in Syria to participate in the fair based on their belief in the depth of the relations binding the two friendly peoples and countries.
The fair has been visited by many accredited ambassadors in Cuba, in addition to representatives of chambers of trade and the foreign companies participating in the fair and some journalists.
