Cuban President calls for supporting Syria

Baku, SANA-Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel called on peoples and governments of the Non-Aligned Movement countries to support Syria and other independent states, which reject hegemony, in the face of hostile policies of the US.

“World peoples have to unify their stances in the face of hostile policy adopted by the US administration,” President Canel said in a speech at the 18th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in Baku.

He stressed rejection of unilateral resolutions taken by the US to support the Israeli entity, calling for ending the terrorist war launched on Syria and finding a just and fair solution to the Palestinian cause.

The 18th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit was inaugurated on Friday in the capital city of Azerbaijan, Baku.
