Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- Thousands of Israeli settlers on Tuesday at dawn broke into al-Aqsa Mosque under protection of the occupation forces.
Palestinian Wafaa News Agency said that thousands of settlers stormed into al-Aqsa Mosque and they carried out provocative tours at its yards under a tight a tight guard by the occupation forces.
It added that the occupation forces closed the streets of the old city in occupied Jerusalem and they intensified their presence on the roads leading to al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to imposing restrictions on the freedom of movement of the locals of occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli settlers daily break into al-Aqsa Mosque provocatively under the protection of the occupation forces in an attempt to impose a fait accompli with regard to Judaizing the Mosque and imposing control over it.
Occupation forces arrest 17 Palestinians in the West Bank
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday arrested 17 Palestinians in different areas in the West Bank
Wafaa News Agency said that the occupation forces stormed the cities of Hebron, Nablus and Bethlehem, and Silwad town in Ramallah and Jenin camp and Balata camp in Nablus, arresting 17 Palestinians.
Earlier on Monday, the occupation forces arrested 11 Palestinians in different areas in the West Bank.
A Palestinian young man shot by occupation forces north of Tulkarm
In the same context, a Palestinian young man on Tuesday morning was shot by the Israeli occupation forces, north of Tulkarm city in the West Bank.
Wafaa Agency said that the occupation forces opened fire on Abdul-Salam Kitanieh, 25 years old, while he was passing through one of their checkpoints near Zeta village, north of Tulkarm, which led to his injury.
On Monday, a Palestinian young man was shot by the Israeli occupation forces while passing through one of their checkpoints to the southwest of Jenin in the West Bank.
