Aleppo, SANA_ The activities of the World Tourism Day Festival under the title “Tourism and job opportunities … a better future for all” kicked off in Aleppo on Friday and included a marathon around Aleppo Citadel with the participation of social events, popular organizations and NGOs.
The three-day festival includes artistic events, an awareness campaign on the importance of preserving the environment and the inauguration of a project to rehabilitate the technical services building in the vicinity of Aleppo Citadel and other activities.
Minister of Tourism, Mohammad Rami Radwan MartinI, pointed to the future projects of the ministry, including the launching of a project to restore the technical services building in the vicinity of Aleppo Citadel in addition to several projects for the rehabilitation of archaeological and tourist attractions, especially in the old city.
The World Tourism Day is celebrated every 27 September around the world. Its purpose is to raise awareness about the role of tourism and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values worldwide.
