Damascus Countryside Governorate continues maintenance of road to Fairgrounds and Airport

Damascus, SANA – As the opening of the 61st Damascus International Fair draws near, Damascus Countryside Governorate is continuing to carry out maintenance for the road leading to the Fairgrounds and Damascus International Airport.

Inspecting maintenance work on Monday, Damascus Countryside Governor Alaa Munir Ibrahim called for all Governorate staff and resources to be on full alert throughout the duration of the Fair.

The maintenance operations involved repairing and repaving roads, repairing and painting sidewalks, planting trees, clearing dead trees and foliage, removing debris and waste, maintaining the metal divider along the road, maintaining lights, and installing signs.

An area of 70 dunams (70,000 square meters) has also been allocated for free parking for the Fair.

The 61st Damascus International Fair will be held from August 28th to September 6th.
