Kuala Lumpur, SANA – Syrian karateka Mariam Trifi won a gold medal at the 6th Legend International Karate Club Championship, which is held in the city of Selangor, Malaysia, with the participation of clubs from 15 countries.
Trifi, who represents Lattakia’s Al Omal Club, won the gold medal of the Children Kumite Female 12-13 Yrs Below 47kg event after defeating a Malaysian karateka on Saturday.
Jafar Malah, also from Al Omal Club, will compete in the Senio Kumite Male Below 75kg category on Sunday, facing off against a karateka from Singapore.
