Temperatures to drop notably in the coastal area

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will notably drop in the coastal area to become from 3 to 5 degrees below average while in the other areas, temperatures will remain from 2 to 4 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure coming from the southeast and accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general and showers might fall over different areas and they will be accompanied by thunder and hailstones sometimes, particularly over the northwestern and coastal areas.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly in the northwestern and coastal areas and it will be easterly to southeasterly in the eastern and al-Jazeera areas with a low to moderate speed with active gusts sometimes while the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 34-22, Daraa 33-23, Hama 36-21, Lattakia 20-16, Aleppo 36-24 and Deir Ezzor 42-24.
