Tajikistan Foreign Minister affirms his country’s support for Syria in its war on terrorism

Dushanbe, SANA – Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirodjidin Muhriddin affirmed his country’s full support for Syria in its war on terrorism until terrorism is eliminated and security and stability are restored to the country.

This came during Muhriddin’s meeting with Syria’s Ambassador to Iran Adnan Mahmoud at the Tajikistani capital Dushanbe following the latter’s participation in the High-level Conference “International and Regional Cooperation on Countering Terrorism and Its Financing Through Illicit Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime” that was held in the capital.

The Minister asserted that Syria will recover its vial position and role in the region, affirming the need to enhance bilateral relations and expressing his country’s readiness to participate in investment projects.

For his part, Mahmoud said the Syrian government is keen on improving relations in all fields, stressing the importance of coordination in counter-terrorism.
