Syria wins 12 medals at Wrestling Cadet & U23 Mediterranean Championship

Tunis, SANA- Syria’s wrestling team won 12 varied medals; 6 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals in Wrestling UWW Cadet & U23 Mediterranean Championship 2019 which wrapped up activities on Sunday in the Tunisian capital city of Tunis.

The Syrian team was able to win five gold medals, a silver medal and 3 bronzes in the freestyle wrestling competitions respectively through athletes Omar Sarem, Fawzi al-Hassan, Ahmad Derki, Ibrahim Tabba’a, Mahmoud Sirghayia, Mohammad Fawwaz, Mohammad Assadeddin al-Osta, Ahmad al-Khanati and Ali Noshaiwati.

In the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions,  the Syrian team won three  medals including a gold, silver and bronze medals through wrestlers  Ali al-Nashawati, Mohamed Fawwaz and Fawzi al-Hassan.
